Satish Shah, aged 74, passed away on October 25 at 2:30 PM after battling kidney-related health issues. His last rites are scheduled to be performed on October 26. The news of his demise has left the film and television fraternity in deep mourning.
Shah had a long and illustrious career spanning decades. He became a household name with the iconic TV sitcom 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', where his portrayal of Indravadhan Sarabhai won hearts nationwide. His comic timing and memorable on-screen pairing with Ratna Pathak Shah made the show a cult classic. He also starred in 'Ye Jo Hai Zindagi', portraying 55 different characters across 55 episodes, and later appeared in 'Filmi Chakkar' as Prakash, showcasing his remarkable versatility.
Born in Mandvi, Gujarat, Satish Shah studied at Xavier College and trained at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He married designer Madhu Shah in 1972. Throughout his career, he worked in numerous films and television shows, leaving an indelible mark with his performances.
