Netflix India has dropped the first look poster and release date for its upcoming comedy series Single Papa, and the Gehlot household already looks like it’s about to burst with absolute mayhem. With the caption teasing, “Chhota packet, aur bohot bada dhamaka,” the streamer has officially welcomed audiences into the chaotic world of the Gehlot parivaar. The series will premiere on 12 December, promising a holiday season filled with hilariously dysfunctional family drama.
Front and center is Kunal Kemmu, who plays Gaurav Gehlot, or GG—a man whose emotional maturity seems permanently stuck in “loading” mode. His life takes an unexpected turn when, fresh off a divorce, he decides to adopt a baby. This shocking move sends the entire Gehlot clan spiraling into confusion, disbelief, and full-blown kalesh. After all, this is a man who can’t keep track of his own socks—so how on earth will he keep track of an infant?
Kemmu is joined by a powerhouse cast including Manoj Pahwa, Prajakta Koli, and Ayesha Raza, each bringing their own brand of humor to the mix. If the poster is any indication, the Gehlot family is gearing up for a storm they never saw coming. From bewildered relatives to misunderstandings galore, the show seems ready to serve up relatable chaos that hits close to home.
With its quirky premise and stellar ensemble, Single Papa looks set to deliver warmth, laughs, and a whole lot of family drama. As GG tries to figure out parenthood—one misplaced sock at a time—viewers can expect a heartfelt comedy about second chances, unexpected journeys, and the beautifully messy families we all rely on.
