It is the second instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and is a spiritual successor to the 1986 film of the same name. The film follows Vikram, a former commander of the black-ops squad's pilot batch, and his efforts to take down Sandhanam, the runner of a drug syndicate Vetti Vagaiyara. The film became the fourth highest-grossing Indian films of 2022 and second highest-grossing Tamil film of 2022.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan will soon be seen in meg-releases, such has Kalki 2898 AD, Indian 2, Indian 3 and Thug Life.
