Once upon a time in Bollywood, there was a vibrant star named Ranveer Singh, who lit up the screen with his energy and enthusiasm. But fast forward to today, and it seems that this once-bright star is slowly turning into a cinematic black hole, sucking in not just his own career but also the projects he’s associated with. If box office success were a party, Ranveer would be the guy who shows up, drinks all the punch, and then proceeds to trip over the punch bowl.

Ranveer's career trajectory has taken a nosedive that could rival any Bollywood plot twist. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, known for his blockbuster hits, found his golden touch mysteriously evaporate with the release of Cirkus. Did someone forget to tell Shetty that “the more, the merrier” doesn’t apply to Ranveer’s ego? It’s as if the moment they teamed up, the universe conspired to send their success streak packing.

And let's not forget about the flops that have punctuated Ranveer’s filmography, like Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Befikre. If it weren’t for the Yash Raj Films (YRF) PR machine tirelessly spinning these films into “hits,” one might wonder if the actor has a secret pact with failure.

Take Lootera, for instance. This film had all the ingredients to become a cult classic—stunning visuals, a beautiful storyline, and a talented cast. But what happened? Ranveer’s performance turned it into a bland, “content-oriented” experience that audiences were quick to forget. It’s almost as if he walked onto set and thought, “Let’s dial down the charm and turn up the mediocrity!” Bravo!

Even the talented Kabir Khan took a hit with 83, a film that should have been an epic celebration of India's cricketing glory. Instead, it became a tepid retelling that felt like watching paint dry—thanks largely to Ranveer's lackluster portrayal. One can only wonder if Khan was left shaking his head, wishing he’d cast a cardboard cutout instead. At least it would have had more charisma.

Divyang Thakkar’s debut film Jayeshbhai Jordaar tanked spectacularly at the box office, leaving him out of work and searching for answers. Spoiler alert: it’s not the plot; it’s Ranveer’s docile performance that sunk the ship. If only there were a lifeboat big enough to save the film from its star’s underwhelming presence!

As if his track record wasn’t already a head-scratcher, Ranveer is now set to take on the role of Shaktimaan—an iconic superhero. Yet, even with all the PR fluff proclaiming him as the “hottest man alive,” many viewers are left wondering: is this really the best choice? The whispers of backlash when he was announced as the new Don were so loud that the film quickly got shelved. Apparently, not even a snazzy intro teaser could salvage this one.

Now, Ranveer has a 15-minute cameo in Singham Again. Will he bring down the franchise or miraculously elevate it? With his recent track record, the buzz around the film is lukewarm at best, and fans are holding their breaths—if only to brace for impact.

Rumors swirl that he’s busy shooting for Aditya Dhar’s next film, Dhurandhar, alongside established names like Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan. One can only hope he doesn’t derail this project too, as the industry seems to be collectively crossing its fingers.

In the battle of PR hype vs. box office reality, it appears Ranveer Singh’s PR team is fighting a losing battle. While they churn out headlines about his charm and good looks, audiences are left wondering where the magic went. As he continues to navigate this rocky terrain, one thing is clear: it’s time for a serious rethink—not just for Ranveer, but for the teams backing him. Otherwise, we might just witness the greatest cinematic “oops” moment in recent history.
