Bollywood star Jackie Shroff recently took to social media to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Netflix’s popular dramedy Call My Agent: Bollywood. Sharing a stylish black-and-white video montage from the series, Jackie captioned his post simply, “#4YearsOfCallMyAgentBollywood.” The clip highlights moments from his cameo in the show’s first episode, where he portrays a client caught in a heated dispute between a director and an actor—a role that perfectly balances his trademark charisma with a touch of industry realism.
Call My Agent: Bollywood, directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Banijay Asia, is the Hindi adaptation of the acclaimed French series Dix Pour Cent (Call My Agent!). The show premiered on October 29, 2021, and follows four Mumbai-based talent agents at the fictional ART talent agency as they juggle celebrity egos, chaotic schedules, and a looming financial crisis following the sudden death of their founder.
The ensemble cast features Rajat Kapoor as Monty, Aahana Kumra as Amal, Ayush Mehra as Mehershad, and Soni Razdan as Treasa—each bringing their unique charm to the high-pressure world of showbiz management. One of the highlights of the series is its lineup of real-life Bollywood stars appearing as exaggerated versions of themselves, including Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, Farah Khan, Lillete Dubey, Nandita Das, and, of course, Jackie Shroff.
Though the series received mixed reviews—some praising its concept and celebrity cameos, while others found it lacked the sharp wit of the French original—it succeeded in offering a glossy, entertaining peek into the behind-the-scenes drama of Bollywood. Jackie Shroff’s recent post serves as a nostalgic nod to the show’s charm and his effortless ability to light up even a cameo with his larger-than-life presence.
