Netflix has unveiled a new poster for its upcoming faith-based drama ’Tis So Sweet, starring Taraji P. Henson as Lenore Lindsey, a Chicago bakery owner whose life is transformed by a miraculous discovery. The film promises a story of healing, reclaiming lost time, and finding purpose in unexpected places, based on the real-life journey of Lindsey that went viral in November 2024.

Directed by Tasha Smith (Mayor of Kingstown), ’Tis So Sweet features Joey Bada$$ (Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott) in a pivotal role alongside Henson. The screenplay, penned by Randy Brown (Miracles from Heaven), captures the emotional and uplifting arc of a woman who must confront the past to embrace a brighter future. Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin produce the film, with Tony Strickland, Angi Bones, and Bart Lipton serving as executive producers for Tyler Perry Studios.

This project marks the second collaboration between Perry, Franklin, and Netflix following the success of Ruth & Boaz, which debuted at No. 2 on the Global Top 10 Movies list (English). The faith-based duo’s first Netflix film, Straw, also starring Henson, premiered in June 2025 and spent five weeks on the Global Top 10 Movies list, amassing 106.3 million views, proving Henson’s strong draw in inspirational narratives.

’Tis So Sweet promises a blend of heart, faith, and resilience, highlighting the everyday miracles that shape lives and the courage it takes to embrace them. Early fan reactions to the poster suggest high anticipation for Henson’s return to Netflix, this time in a deeply moving, real-life inspired story.

Scheduled for release soon, the film is set to continue Netflix and Tyler Perry’s streak of uplifting content that combines real-life inspiration with compelling performances. Fans can also revisit Ruth & Boaz on Tudum to get ready for this next emotional journey.
