The excitement was high at the trailer launch of Do You Wanna Partner?, and for Diana Penty, it marked more than just a new project — it marked her OTT debut. Speaking with refreshing honesty and enthusiasm, Diana shared how thrilled she is to be stepping into the long-format space for the first time, and why this particular show means so much to her.
“My OTT debut is here — and I couldn’t be more excited that it’s with Dharmatic and Prime Video,” she said. “It’s a project that I feel so proud to be part of.”
She said, ““It’s about two girls, and really, it’s about friendship. Real friendship. There’s nothing over-the-top or unbelievable about it. When you watch it, you’re going to feel the way you do with your best friend — the way you fight, the way you hang out, the way you party… it’s just real.”
Diana also touched on the unique angle of the series — women navigating the world of entrepreneurship. “Of course, it’s also about two girls in a man’s world — entrepreneurship. It’s about startups. And we’re showing that in a way that’s light, fun, and engaging.”
Calling it a "snacky show," she explained that the format is fast-paced and easy to binge.
She shared a warm note of appreciation for co-star Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays her on-screen partner in the series. “It all came very naturally. It just flowed. It was effortless. And I’m so grateful to have Tamannaah as my partner in this.”
While this marks Diana’s first foray into the long-format space, it also allowed her to break free from roles she’s often been cast in.
“This is something I’ve never done before. I’ve never done a long-format series, and even character-wise, she’s nothing like the demure girl I’ve played before. I think this is the most real person I’ve ever portrayed.”
