Sharad Kelkar, captain of the Mumbai Aces, is all set to lead his team to victory once again in Actors Cricket Bash 2024 (ACB 2024). Speaking at the Purple Carpet Event for the unboxing and launch party of the new season, Sharad expressed his excitement for the competition and the chance to repeat his team’s success. “In the first season, Mumbai Aces won the cup, and this season, we aim to do it again. We are waiting for the drafting process to see which players are in which teams, but I believe Mumbai Aces will continue to be a high-energy team,” he said.
With six teams competing—Ahmedabad Lions, Chandigarh Mavericks, Chennai Marvels, Delhi Titans, Mumbai Aces, and Varanasi Warriors—ACB 2024 will feature a roster of 125 actors. Sharad highlighted how the tournament has grown since its inception, with the initial group of 15-16 actors now expanded to a much larger pool of participants. “It’s all about healthy competition. We started as friends, but now we have a mix of friends, colleagues, and newcomers, and I’m looking forward to seeing them carry the legacy forward,” Sharad added.
He also emphasized the importance of new players joining the tournament, ensuring fresh energy and tougher competition.
In addition to his leadership role in the cricket tournament, Sharad will be seen in Raanti, an action thriller directed by Samit Kakkad, set for release later this year.
With the new season of ACB and his upcoming film, Sharad is keeping busy, but he's determined to bring home the ACB Cup for his team once again.
