Television star and producer Surbhi Chandna is back with yet another soul-stirring musical venture, Ishtam, under her banner Feel Good Originals. Shot amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of Kerala, the romantic track features the charming on-screen pair Vivek Dahiya and Anaira Gupta, and is all set to strike a chord with audiences through its heartfelt storytelling and stunning visuals.
Sharing her thoughts on the making of Ishtam, Surbhi said, “I came back this morning from the studio, and now I have realized no work is ever easy. Neither I was born in some influential family, neither I have some backing from big names, so whatever hard work I need to do, I need to do it myself, from ground zero.” Her words reflect not only the grind behind the glamour, but also her fierce commitment to crafting stories that connect.
Directed by Mahesh Anitha Kunta and co-directed by Tanmay Mohite, Ishtam is enriched by the soulful voices of Kavya Kriti, Yashraaj, and Salamat Khan, with music by Kavya Kriti and lyrics written by Sreekanth Varrier and Karan Sharma—Surbhi’s husband, who also lent his support at the song launch.
Speaking about Kerala as the backdrop, Surbhi smiled and said, “I have a huge connection with Kerala, as I love their food.” She also reflected on her future in the creative space: “I am sure everyone has a wish-list, and everyone wants to move up the ladder. Right now, I am producing songs; slowly I will do shows, web, YouTube, TV, and so on. Hopefully someday I will do films as well.” With Ishtam, Surbhi continues to expand her artistic journey with grace, grit, and a whole lot of heart.
