At the grand launch of the trailer for Thamma and the official unveiling of the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe (MHCU) logo, actress Shraddha Kapoor took center stage not just as a star, but as the original face of a cinematic movement that started with the 2018 blockbuster Stree.
Shraddha, who has been part of the universe since its inception, looked back at how it all began and how far it has come from a standalone hit to a full-fledged Indian horror-comedy franchise. Recalling her entry into the universe, Shraddha said:“My entry into this universe happened in 2018, and none of us expected Stree to become so popular or to receive so much love from all of you.” “When Dinesh Vijan offered me the film back in 2018, and Amar Kaushik came on board as the director, I was extremely excited — because as an actor, to be part of a story so deeply rooted in our own culture and traditions was something very special for me.”
What started as a surprising success has now evolved into a massive cinematic universe. Shraddha expressed her admiration for how far the vision has grown:“After Stree, Dinesh expanded his vision so much, he gave us Bhediya, Munjya, and now Thamma is on its way. There’s so much more fun coming for all of us!”

Shraddha also highlighted one of the most exciting new developments -Chhoti Stree, an animated film that’s set to release in theatres:“One of my favorite parts of the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe is Chhoti Stree, which is coming as an animated film.
