Netflix drops the teaser trailer for a new series titled Ripley, it's a thrilling new black and white series based on Patricia Highsmith's bestselling Tom Ripley novels. A grifter named Ripley living in 60s New York is hired by a wealthy man to begin a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder.
The series stars Andrew Scott, Dakota Fanning, Johnny Flynn, Elliot Sumner, Maurizio Lombardi, Margherita Buy, and John Malkovich.
Tom Ripley (Andrew Scott), a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York, is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home. Tom's acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder. A series based on Patricia Highsmith's bestselling Tom Ripley novels.
Created by Steven Zaillian, he also wrote and directed all the episodes. Produced by Showtime and Endemol Shine North America in association with Entertainment 360 and Filmrights.
Ripley series starts streaming on Netflix starting on April 4th, 2024.
