The wait is finally over for fans who have been craving to see Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar share the screen again. Their much-talked-about action thriller Haiwaan, directed by the legendary Priyadarshan, has officially wrapped up filming and the celebrations on set were filled with cheers, cake, and a whole lot of nostalgia.
Priyadarshan himself took to Instagram to share the happy moment, posting photos of the wrap-up bash. In the pictures, Saif is seen cutting a celebratory cake while posing with the director and the film’s enthusiastic crew. Though Akshay wasn’t present in the images, the energy of the team spoke volumes the film is now one major step closer to hitting theatres in 2026.
Cinema lovers know the magic Akshay and Saif create together. From Main Khiladi Tu Anari to Yeh Dillagi and Tashan, their chemistry has been a Bollywood favourite for decades. Haiwaan marks their first film together since 2008, making it one of the most anticipated reunions of recent times. Adding to that excitement is Priyadarshan’s direction,the filmmaker who has delivered some of the industry's most unforgettable entertainers.
The production house, Thespian Films, shared the celebratory pictures with an emotional note that read: “It’s a wrap of our film Haiwaan! Our hearts are full today with love, gratitude and pride! See you soon at the Theaters!” Actor Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar, who play pivotal roles in the film, were also seen joining the celebrations.
Haiwaan is backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, jointly produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn. With a star-studded cast and a technically ambitious scale, the film is expected to bring a fresh wave of adrenaline to theatres next year. While Haiwaan is wrapped and ready to move into post-production, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar are also teaming up again for Bhoot Bangla, a horror drama. Clearly, fans of the filmmaker-actor duo have a lot to look forward to. With nostalgia, powerhouse performances, and Priyadarshan’s signature storytelling, Haiwaan promises to bring back the charm of old-school Bollywood partnerships with a modern action twist.
And now that the cameras have finally stopped rolling, the countdown to its theatrical release officially begins.
