12th Fail is based on the 2019 eponymous non-fiction book by Anurag Pathak about the real-life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer. The film stars Vikrant Massey in the title role, alongside Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.
At the 69th Filmfare Awards, the film received 12 nominations, including Best Film and Best Director.
Meanwhile on the work front, Alia Bhatt is busy wrapping Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, is set to release on September 27, 2024.
This will be Alia's second venture into film production under her banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. While details about the plot and cast are still unknown, the announcement has created a lot of excitement among fans.
