At the trailer launch event of his upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2, superstar Ajay Devgn weighed in on the recent online backlash faced by Diljit Dosanjh for collaborating with a Pakistani actress. The actor offered a measured, diplomatic take on the controversy, urging people to seek understanding rather than division.
When asked about the trolling aimed at Diljit, Ajay responded thoughtfully, “I don’t know where the trolling comes from, or what is right or wrong. I’m not in his shoes to comment on that. He might have his own reasons or challenges. And those who are speaking against it probably have their own point of view.”
Ajay emphasized that the key lies in dialogue and not judgment: “When there are two different perspectives, you can sit down and sort it out. But if one person is thinking one way and the other is thinking completely differently, then nothing works. It doesn’t work that way.”
Staying neutral and balanced in his stance, the actor added, “So I won’t blame anybody. I’m not saying one side is right or wrong. I just feel everyone needs to talk—it all comes down to having a conversation.”
Ajay’s comments come as a refreshing reminder of the importance of communication and empathy, especially in a time when public discourse often veers into polarized territory.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film stars Ajay alongside Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, and a star-studded ensemble.
Son of Sardaar 2, the action-comedy sequel to the 2012 hit, is set for a theatrical release on July 25, 2025.
