"Jahangir National University" delves into the story of Sourabh Sharma (Siddharth Bodke), a new student at a prestigious university, who becomes embroiled in a clash over cultural values and political ideologies with left-wing students. Set against the backdrop of escalating tensions and student politics, the film attempts to explore themes of nationalism and identity within the campus environment.

"Jahangir National University" attempts to portray the contentious and polarizing atmosphere of a renowned university, heavily inspired by real-life incidents at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). However, the film falls short in its execution and narrative depth, resulting in a disappointing viewing experience.

The portrayal of JNU in the film is myopic and selective, focusing primarily on incidents that fit a predetermined narrative rather than offering a nuanced exploration of campus dynamics. The screenplay lacks coherence, with subpar dialogue and uninspired direction contributing to its mediocrity. The film's attempt to address serious issues such as cultural clashes and political ideologies is undermined by its superficial treatment and forced dramatic elements.

Siddharth Bodke's portrayal of Sourabh Sharma fails to leave a lasting impression, while supporting characters played by Atul Pandey and Shivjyoti Rajput also struggle to elevate the narrative. The inclusion of dance numbers and stereotypical characters further detracts from the film's credibility, diminishing its potential impact.

The film's saving graces come in the form of cameo appearances by seasoned actors Vijay Raaz and Ravi Kishan, whose interactions inject brief moments of interest. Piyush Mishra's song stands out amidst an otherwise lackluster soundtrack.

Clocking in at 150 minutes, "Jahangir National University" suffers from pacing issues, making it a tedious watch devoid of depth and emotional resonance. The overarching question posed by the film - "Can one educational institution break a nation?" - fails to provoke meaningful introspection or engagement, instead leaving audiences with a sense of missed opportunity.

"Jahangir National University" falls short of its ambitions to dissect the complexities of university politics and cultural clashes. With its superficial treatment of sensitive issues and lackluster execution, the film struggles to deliver a compelling narrative or resonate with its audience. Despite occasional glimpses of potential, it ultimately fails to leave a significant impact.
