In true Bollywood grace, Kajol has addressed the buzz around her upcoming legal drama The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha Season 2 and Akshay Kumar’s courtroom comedy Jolly LLB 3, both set to release on September 19, 2025. While social media has been quick to label it a box-office or streaming "clash," Kajol isn’t buying into the narrative.
“My take is that there is no clash,” Kajol told reporters at the trailer launch of The Trial S2 in Mumbai. “Even if you ask Akshay, he will say, ‘Your film will definitely work,’ and even I will say his film will definitely work.”
While Jolly LLB 3 hits the big screens, The Trial continues its journey on JioHotstar, giving fans a choice between courtrooms with comedy or high-stakes drama. Directed by Umesh Bist and produced by Banijay Asia, the second season deepens Kajol’s portrayal of Noyonika Sengupta, a conflicted lawyer navigating personal turmoil and courtroom intrigue.
