In the late 1970s, Satish Bhaskar embarked on an epic journey along India’s stunning coastlines, living alongside rare sea turtles. His quest to uncover the mysteries surrounding these magnificent animals propelled him to protect their nesting beaches from extinction. His story, filled with passion and determination, serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation.
What began as a small independent project in Goa has evolved into an international co-production over the past seven years, involving award-winning partners from around the globe. The film is produced by Tiger Baby and Emaho Films, in collaboration with HHMI Tangled Bank Studios. Submarine Deluxe has taken on the sales rights for the documentary.
Written and directed by Taira Malaney, the film also boasts contributions from a talented team, including producers Angad Dev Singh, Vikram Malaney, and Taira Malaney.
