On what would have been the 62nd birth anniversary of iconic actress Sridevi, her daughter Janhvi Kapoor took to social media to pen an emotional tribute that resonated deeply with fans across the country. Sharing rare, unseen pictures of her late mother, Janhvi wrote a simple yet soul-stirring caption:
“Happy Birthday Mumma ❤️ every step with your name in my heart.”
The post, filled with nostalgic memories and warmth, included a precious photograph of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor cradling a toddler Janhvi — a moment frozen in time that echoed the love and innocence of a close-knit family. Another rare picture featured the entire Kapoor family — Janhvi, Sridevi, Boney, and Khushi — capturing a bond that continues to live on in Janhvi’s heart.
To honour her mother’s memory, Janhvi carried forward her annual spiritual tradition by visiting the sacred Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh — a pilgrimage she has undertaken every year since Sridevi’s passing in 2018. This year, she wasn’t alone.
Joining her on this emotional journey was actor Sidharth Malhotra, her co-star from the upcoming film Param Sundari. The duo were seen walking together barefoot on the temple pathway, draped in traditional attire — a sign of reverence and devotion.
In a video that surfaced from the visit, Sidharth could be seen saying,“Hello guys, abhi bas hum chal rahe Tirupati ki taraf,”
to which Janhvi affectionately corrected him,“Tirumala ki taraf.”
The moment, though light-hearted, reflected the comfort and camaraderie the two stars share. Sidharth added warmly,
“Main pehli baar yahan par aaya hu, Janhvi harr saal aati rehti hai aur iss baar mere Sundari mujhe yahan lekar aayi hai.”
He went on to thank fans for the love they’ve received for their upcoming film, saying,“Hum log saari mehnat karte hai taaki aaplogo ko humara kaam pasand aaye.”
Janhvi’s tribute wasn’t just a birthday post; it was a testament to a daughter’s enduring love — a yearly ritual of remembrance wrapped in silence, prayer, and personal strength.
With Param Sundari all set to hit theatres on August 29, 2025, the journey to Tirumala also marks a spiritual start to a new chapter in her professional life.
