Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan along with her husband Saif Ali Khan, expressed her excitement about owning a cricket team during the first match of ISPL tournament.
Film celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ram Charan, Suriya, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Munawar Faruqui, Elvish Yadav and more kick-started the Indina Street Cricket League on Wednesday with the first match.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Majhi Mumbai clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Srinagar Ke Veer, during the inaugural event.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who graced the first match expressed her excitement, she said, “I think all the players in each team are going to be passionate players because each and every sports begins on street, and it is the passion of the player that takes from the street to the stadium, we are here with the same excitement, and I am super excited that Saif and I are the co-owners of Tigers of Kolkata”
When asked if she also tried her hands at the sport, Kareena said, “I have tried, but I am not a great player, I didn’t quite hit the ball, but tell you what, playing and watching both have their own fun. I am a spectator, an audience, so Saif can be the player.”
Amitabh Bachchan owns the Majhi Mumbai, Akshay Kumar owns the Srinagar Ke Veer. Hrithik Roshan owns the Bangalore Strikers whereas Tamil star Suriya owns the Chennai Singhams. Telugu movie star Ram Charan owns the Falcon Risers Hyderabad. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan together own the Tigers of Kolkata.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon be seen in Crew.
