Netflix brought the knives—and the excitement—at its Tudum event by unveiling the first look teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the third installment in Rian Johnson’s clever and stylish whodunit series. Set to premiere on December 12, 2025, this film marks the return of fan-favorite Southern sleuth Benoit Blanc, once again played by Daniel Craig.
Following the high-society chaos of Knives Out (2019) and the sun-soaked deception of Glass Onion (2022), this latest mystery promises a darker, more dangerous case for Blanc. The ominous teaser ends with the line: “The Knives Cometh Out Soon,” hinting that this may be the detective’s most treacherous investigation yet.
Joining Craig is an ensemble cast brimming with intrigue and star power, including Josh O’Connor, Josh Brolin, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
