Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit Nene sent shivers down fans’ spines with the latest teaser for Hotstar Specials’ Mrs. Deshpande. Sharing the 30-second clip on social media, she captioned it, “From killer smile to killer’s smile,” giving viewers a tantalizing glimpse of her dark new avatar.
The teaser shows Madhuri in a dimly lit kitchen, chopping vegetables with a calm yet menacing precision, her expressions morphing from her signature charm to the chilling persona of a serial killer. The eerie transformation immediately establishes the psychological tension that the series promises.
Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced under Kukunoor Movies in collaboration with Applause Social, the series is an adaptation of the French hit La Mante. Madhuri plays an imprisoned murderer who reluctantly aids the police in tracking down a copycat killer, blending suspense, drama, and her magnetic screen presence.
The star-studded cast also includes Siddharth Chandekar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Diksha Juneja, Pradeep Welankar, and Nimisha Nair, promising strong ensemble performances alongside Dixit’s gripping lead.
