Vudu drops the trailer for crime comedy titled LaRoy, Texas, written and directed by Shane Atkinson. The film revolves around a broke and beaten hitman Ray, who wants to kill his cheating wife, but fate has different plan in store for him.
The film stars John Magaro, Steve Zahn, Dylan Baker, Galadriel Stineman, Matthew Del Negro, Bob Clendenin, Brad Leland, Megan Stevenson, and Emily Pendergast.
Ray (John Magaro) is an ordinary man who runs an ordinary business in the fictional town of LaRoy, Texas. He longs for his wife Stacy-Lynn’s affections, but they are being given to someone else.
As if this love triangle weren’t complicated enough, a third character also enters the conversation: Skip, a private detective who is mocked by the local police force and always dressed in the latest cowboy fashions.
Skip shows Ray pictures of his wife entering a motel room, whereupon Ray decides to quickly put an end to his suffering. But just as Ray is about to kill himself, a mysterious man intervenes, asking Ray to kill someone else instead, by the very next day; money is handed over, but instructions are not, turning this man who no longer wants to live into the protagonist of a freewheeling adventure.
The film is slated for April 12th, 2024 release.
