20th Century Studios drops a brand new trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, helmed by Wes Ball.
Many ape clans have emerged in the oasis to which Caesar led his fellow apes, while humans have regressed into a feral state. One ape leader prevents the teachings of Caesar in order to enslave other clans while in search of the last traces of a secret human technology. While another ape embarks on a much different journey.
The film stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Peter Macon, Eka Darville, Kevin Durand, Travis Jeffery, Neil Sandilands, Sara Wiseman, Lydia Peckham, Ras-Samuel Weld A'abzgi, William H. Macy, and Dichen Lachman.
The new instalment of sci-fi franchise, is set several generations in the future following Caesar's reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows.
As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
The screenplay is by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, and Patrick Aison. The film is slated for May 10th, 2024 release.
