Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma, who is all set to return to the big screen with Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2, opened up about some intense personal experiences during the film’s trailer launch. While the event was packed with laughs—much like Kapil’s signature style—he also spoke candidly about the violent incidents that took place at his Caps Café in Canada earlier this year.
Kapil revealed that the shooting at his café wasn’t a one-off incident. The first attack occurred on July 10, followed by two more on August 7 and October 16. Miraculously, no one was harmed. Addressing the media, Kapil said, “I think the local rules and police probably don't have the power to control such incidents. But when our case happened, it went to the federal government. It was discussed in the Canadian Parliament.”
Despite the unsettling events, the comedian found an unexpected—and slightly humorous—silver lining. Kapil shared, “After every shooting incident, we used to get a big opening at the cafe. So if God is with me, everything is fine.” In true Kapil fashion, he turned fear into philosophy and anxiety into opportunity.
Kapil added that numerous well-wishers from Canada called to warn him about ongoing disturbances in the area. “Whatever God does, we don't know the story behind it,” he said, keeping his optimism intact. He expressed gratitude that the issue drew attention to law and order concerns in the region. The comedian emphasized that he has always felt completely safe in Mumbai, adding, “There is no other city like Mumbai.”
Meanwhile, the trailer of Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2 is already making waves. Kapil returns as a man entangled in hilariously chaotic situations—this time juggling four marriages and still yearning for true love. The sequel promises double the confusion and double the comedy, hitting cinemas on December 12, 2025.
