The IIFA Technical Awards recognize the exceptional talents in various technical and creative categories that are crucial to filmmaking. This year’s awards will honor the best in Cinematography, Screenplay, Dialogues, Editing, Choreography, Sound Design, Sound Mixing, Background Score, and Special Effects (Visual). These accolades highlight the artistry and technical expertise that bring Indian cinema to life, creating immersive experiences for audiences around the globe.

Vishnu took home the award for Best Cinematography for Jawan, while the Screenplay award went to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Jaskunwar Kohli, Anurag Pathak, Aayush Saxena, and Vikas Divyakirti for 12th Fail. Ishita Moitra won Best Dialogues for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga was honored for Best Editing with Animal. The award for Choreography was given to Bosco-Caesar for Pathaan, and Sachin Sudhakaran and Hariharan M received Best Sound Design for Animal. In the Sound Mixing category, Sampath Alwar, Chris Jacobson, Rob Marshall, and Marti Humphrey were recognized for Jawan. Harshavardhan Rameshwar won Best Background Score for Animal, and Redchillies.VFX was awarded Best Special Effects (Visual) for Jawan. These winners will be celebrated during the IIFA Festival, taking place from September 27th to 29th, 2024, at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, with the Technical Awards honored at the exclusive IIFA Rocks event.
The IIFA Festival kicks off on September 27th with IIFA Utsavam, a spectacular tribute to the vibrant South Indian film industries. This will be followed by the prestigious IIFA Awards on September 28th, celebrating the best performances and achievements in Indian cinema. The festival will culminate on September 29th with IIFA Rocks, an exclusive event where the Technical Awards winners will be honored in a grand celebration.
