Actor Priyanshu Painyuli recently graced the Tasveer Film Festival, sharing his love for cinema and his excitement about the projects currently keeping him busy. Known for his thoughtful approach to storytelling and his willingness to explore diverse roles, Priyanshu spoke about what draws him to films and why events like Tasveer hold a special place in his heart.
Priyanshu said,“I am a big cinephile from across the world and I watch all kinds of films — independent films, small films. I don’t believe that there are small or big films, I believe there are good films. An event like this brings all the people together who love good cinema. That is why, for me, Tasveer is a beautiful festival which brings the right kind of films and cinema together.”
Priyanshu also spoke about his recent film, Tere Ishq Mein, where he shares the screen with superstar Dhanush. Released in theatres, the film has been widely appreciated, crossing the ₹100-crore mark at the box office. Priyanshu expressed his gratitude toward the audience, saying that the overwhelming love for the film motivates him to explore more meaningful projects.
Looking ahead, Priyanshu revealed a mix of upcoming ventures that showcase his versatility. He said, “I will be seen in two films and a big show that is being directed by the director of the show Mirzapur. Apart from this, there is my own film that I have directed along with my wife Vandana. It is an independent film and we wish to send it across the festivals.”
Priyanshu’s words and his body of work highlight a career driven by passion, curiosity, and a love for storytelling in all its forms. Whether it’s a commercial success like Tere Ishq Mein or a small independent project, he approaches each film with the same dedication, seeing cinema as a medium to connect, inspire, and entertain.
