Directed by M. Achilles and co-written by Leonidas G. Demas, George Demas, and Michael A. Nickles, the film is set for release on August 15, 2025. Set primarily in Greece during the late 1980s, the story follows a hapless Greek-American named Brad, played by Peter Bundic, who spirals from reality into myth as he attempts to reclaim his family's legacy—and maybe find love along the way.
The plot kicks off with Brad, a New Jersey history buff working in his father’s crumbling diner, reluctantly traveling to his ancestral village in Greece to evict distant relatives from a family home. But instead of a quick legal battle, Brad stumbles into a dreamlike quest that sees him rallying villagers to (literally) reignite the Peloponnesian War, all in an effort to impress Maria (Georgia Mesariti), the woman living in the house he’s meant to repossess. The fantasy elements playfully blur the line between delusion and destiny, channeling Brad’s inner Leonidas as he transforms a legal mission into an epic saga.
With an ensemble cast featuring Katerina Didaskalou, Renos Haralambidis, Kostas Koroniaos, and Nikos Tsergas, A Spartan Dream captures both the charm of rural Greece and the surrealism of myth-infused storytelling.
