Zee Music Co. has unveiled the ultimate anthem from Amazon MGM Studios India’s upcoming release Nishaanchi, and it is nothing short of a riot. Titled Filam Dekho, the track is composed by Anurag Saikia, sung by Madhubanti Bagchi, and written by Shashwat Dwivedi. With its cheeky hook — “Fatt-ta hai kaise ye bam dekho, ye filam dekho!” — the song is bold, bindaas, and brilliantly bonkers, acting as a perfect sonic mirror to Anurag Kashyap’s unapologetic filmmaking style.
The track is a quirky invitation into Kashyap’s world, swinging between satire and swagger while dishing out tedhi kheer philosophies, dark chocolate fantasies, and knee-deep emotions. More than just a soundtrack, Filam Dekho positions itself as the anthem of Nishaanchi, setting the tone for the film’s raw, irreverent storytelling. The music video explodes with edgy visuals and riotous choreography, capturing the eccentric, unfiltered spirit of Kashyap’s cinematic universe.
Talking about the track, composer Anurag Saikia shared: “Working on Nishaanchi’s music has been a challenging yet fulfilling experience because each song needed its own personality, while staying true to Kashyap’s vision. With Filam Dekho, we wanted to create something cinematic, quirky, and instantly memorable. Madhubanti brought the song alive with just the right dose of soul and spunk.”
Singer Madhubanti Bagchi added her own perspective: “Singing Filam Dekho was unlike anything I’ve done before. It’s mischievous, unpredictable, and not a regular melody. I love that it turns something as functional as a disclaimer into a moment of fun and energy. To be part of such a bold and experimental track has been a privilege.”
Directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under Jar Pictures in association with Flip Films, Nishaanchi is penned by Prasoon Mishra, Ranjan Chandel, and Kashyap himself. The story revolves around two brothers, played in a fiery double role by debutant Aaishvary Thackeray, each walking dramatically different paths that shape their intertwined destinies. The ensemble also stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in key roles. Packed with grit and chaos, Nishaanchi hits theatres nationwide on September 19, 2025.
