Veteran playback singer and actress Sulakshana Pandit was laid to rest today, November 7, 2025, at Pawan Hans Crematorium, Vile Parle, Mumbai, following her passing on November 6 due to cardiac arrest after a prolonged illness. The 71-year-old star, known for her soulful voice and memorable performances, was mourned by family, friends, and the film fraternity alike.
The funeral ceremony, held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM IST, saw close family members in attendance, including her sister Vijayta Pandit and brothers Jatin and Lalit Pandit, the celebrated music composer duo. Their presence reflected the deep familial bond and the immense legacy Sulakshana leaves behind in Indian cinema and music.
Bollywood personalities also paid their respects at the cremation. Shabana Azmi, a longtime contemporary and friend, was among the notable attendees, along with Poonam Dhillon and several other industry peers.
