Bobby Deol recently shared his admiration for Aryan Khan, describing a certain magic he saw in the young director even before his rise to fame. "I have seen Aryan when he was younger and then when he grew up. I felt there was something magical about him as if he was ready to conquer the world. He had that conviction when he narrated the story to me," said Bobby.
The excitement around Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Bads of Bollywood, is building as Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. released the first glimpse of the highly anticipated series.
The preview opens with Aryan’s voiceover setting a romantic tone, only to swiftly pivot with a sharp and cheeky edge, evoking the nostalgia of classic Hindi cinema while promising a fresh, contemporary take. The makers describe the series as a "genre-defying" blend of self-awareness and humor, set against a vibrant, filmy backdrop. It signals a generational shift where the romance of the past collides with the vision of a bold new storyteller.
The series promises a stylized yet chaotic world, provocative and deeply rooted in the realities of Bollywood. It features an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.
Co-creators Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan have worked alongside Aryan, who has also co-written the show. The production is helmed by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., with Bonnie Jain and Akshat Verma serving as executive producers.
The Bads of Bollywood is slated to be a fresh, cheeky, and unapologetic take on the film industry, marking a bold new chapter in Aryan Khan’s career as a director.
