Bhojpuri cinema has always had a loyal fan base, but actor Vishal Aditya Singh believes that the industry is in dire need of some freshness. The actor can be seen alongside Akshara Singh in the Holi song Jogira Saraaa Raa, which is making waves for its catchy beats and colorful vibes. The song has become an anthem of sorts for the festival of colors, and Vishal couldn’t be more excited about his collaboration with Akshara.
The actor spoke about the collaboration and the potential of the Bhojpuri film industry, saying, “Akshara and I represent Bihar. We were both hoping for a project where we could work together. When I heard the song, I knew this was the one where we could come together and shine.”
Vishal was all praises for his co-star, Akshara, stating, “Her mother is my favorite co-actor. I’ve had conversations with Akshara before, but things never materialized. However, when this song came along, there was a certain pressure to work with her, and it was a fresh collaboration.” He continued, “I have only worked in Hindi projects till now, but Akshara is a star in the Bhojpuri industry. I knew her from her work in Service Wali Bahu and from then, I knew we would work together on something special.”
Talking about the freshness that the industry needs, Vishal mentioned, “The Bhojpuri industry definitely needs to improve. Great work can be done. There’s a huge scope for growth. Freshness is needed, and the audience from UP and Bihar, which is predominantly Hindi-speaking, has a strong connection with the region’s flavor. It will take some time for our cinema to develop, but it will happen.”
The actor also reflected on the significance of working in Mumbai while still keeping the essence of UP and Bihar alive. “Living in Mumbai, I am still very connected to the vibe of UP and Bihar. The fresh take we bring in our projects will help maintain that connection,” he said
