Vaani Kapoor is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in her career with the much-anticipated sequel Raid 2, and she couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunity. Reflecting on her experience, Vaani expressed her gratitude for the chance to be part of such a prestigious franchise, saying, “I am just counting my blessings because I never really had the opportunity to venture in a genre like this, with a franchise which is so incredible. I am a fan of Raid—I think, unanimously, I can safely say that we all gave it so much love, so I am hoping for double the love for its sequel.”
Vaani also spoke highly of her co-star, the iconic Ajay Devgn, noting his rare ability to command a scene with effortless intensity. “It’s a rare quality to command scenes, without having to be loud or anything extra. It’s just his aura, intensity, screen presence, the quiet intensity and gravitas he brings to every frame,” Vaani shared. She went on to describe how Ajay's grounding presence made working with him an inspiring experience, adding, “It feels like a fabulous experience.”
In addition to her admiration for Ajay Devgn, Vaani also praised the director of Raid 2, Rajkumar Gupta, for his clear vision and understanding of his characters. She emphasized Gupta’s ability to guide actors while giving them the freedom to contribute creatively. “Rajkumar Gupta is so great, the kind of clarity and understanding of what he wants from his characters, he also enables you to contribute, so you always feel creatively liberated to bring something new to the table,” Vaani said.
With such high expectations for the sequel, Vaani’s excitement is palpable, and her appreciation for the talented team she’s working with further adds to the anticipation surrounding Raid 2.
