Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is all smiles as she steps into a whole new world—quite literally—by lending her voice to the beloved rabbit cop Judy Hopps in Disney’s upcoming animated sequel, Zootopia 2. At the Hindi version launch event in Mumbai, Shraddha shared how this dream role has fulfilled one of her childhood wishes.
“I think, where I really drew the inspiration is from my childhood,” she said. “Since I was a kid, I had this desire from the inside—I always subconsciously wanted to give my voice for an animated film. And when this happened, I just knew it would be fun. Honestly, it feels like a part of my childhood has been completed by being a part of this film.”
Set to release in Indian cinemas on November 28, Zootopia 2 brings back the colorful and chaotic animal city of Zootopia, where Judy Hopps, the ever-optimistic rabbit officer, and her clever fox partner Nick Wilde tackle new mysteries. Shraddha’s bubbly and energetic personality perfectly matches Judy’s spirit—making her the ideal choice to voice the Hindi version of the character.
Disney India’s announcement of Shraddha joining the Zootopia family sent fans into a frenzy, as many felt her voice embodies the same positivity and determination that make Judy so lovable. Her involvement also marks a refreshing addition to the growing list of Bollywood stars lending their voices to iconic global franchises.
On the film front, Shraddha was last seen in the blockbuster Stree 2. She is currently working on Eetha, a biopic based on the life of legendary Tamasha artist Vithabai, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. With this mix of powerful performances and now her Disney debut, Shraddha Kapoor continues to prove there’s nothing she can’t do—on screen or behind the mic.
