In an exciting first, three iconic Shah Rukh Khan films—Chak De! India, Darr, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge—will be screened at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2025) inside a state-of-the-art inflatable cinema. The initiative is a collaboration between the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), and mobile digital cinema company PictureTime Digiplex, bringing a unique cinematic experience to festival-goers.
The inflatable theatre will be set up at Goa’s Kala Academy, one of IFFI’s main venues, providing a fully equipped, high-tech space for audiences to enjoy these beloved films. Known for deploying mobile theatres in remote and underserved areas, PictureTime is bringing its expertise to IFFI, ensuring that the screenings combine comfort, accessibility, and novelty.
This showcase allows attendees to experience three of Shah Rukh Khan’s landmark performances in a completely new way, blending nostalgia with innovation. From the intense thriller Darr to the patriotic drama Chak De! India and the timeless romance Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the lineup reflects the superstar’s versatility and enduring appeal.
The festival, running from November 20 to 28, continues to push the envelope with creative presentation formats, offering audiences immersive cinematic experiences beyond traditional theatres.
