Netflix has dropped the highly anticipated first look teaser for The Six Triple Eight, an upcoming film from acclaimed filmmaker Tyler Perry. This groundbreaking production sheds light on the inspiring story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas during World War II.
The film chronicles the extraordinary efforts of 855 women who were tasked with resolving a three-year backlog of undelivered mail. Despite facing severe discrimination and the harsh realities of war, these remarkable women sorted over 17 million pieces of mail, achieving their mission ahead of schedule.
