Trust Shah Rukh Khan to turn a press launch into a laugh riot—and a proud dad moment. At the grand Mumbai unveiling of The Bads of Bollywood, the highly-anticipated debut series by Aryan Khan, SRK had the audience in splits as he reflected on his first conversation with his son about the project.

“When Aryan told me he wanted to make something on Bollywood that’s raw and edgy with madness, I was worried if he was planning to put Mannat’s CCTV footage on YouTube,” Shah Rukh quipped, sending the crowd into fits of laughter. But beneath the joke was a father beaming with pride.

“He was actually getting something fresh, unique,” SRK continued. “It took me a little while to catch the tone of the show. But once I did, I was completely drawn in. I’m really happy—not just for the show, but for the entire cast. It’s the characters that breathe life into a story.”

The Bads of Bollywood, written and directed by Aryan Khan, offers a bold, unfiltered peek into the chaos and glam of the film industry. The series features a star-studded ensemble including Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, and Raghav Juyal, with starry cameos from Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor.

The event was more than a trailer drop—it was a full-circle moment. From being Bollywood’s reigning king to cheering in the front row for his son’s creative leap, SRK showed once again why he remains not just the Badshah of Bollywood, but also the king of heartwarming one-liners.
