Farhan Akhtar has dropped the highly anticipated trailer for Dabba Cartel, an upcoming crime drama series set to stream exclusively on Netflix. With a gripping caption, “They’re cooking. And it’s criminally good,” Akhtar promises a dark and suspense-filled ride for viewers. The series is set to premiere on February 28, 2025, and the trailer has already sparked massive anticipation.
Set in Thane, a neighboring town to Mumbai, Dabba Cartel follows a group of entrepreneurial middle-class women running a seemingly innocent tiffin service—delivering home-cooked meals to clients in their iconic tiffin boxes. However, beneath the surface of this humble operation lies a deadly secret. These women, portrayed by a stellar ensemble cast, are actually running a drug cartel under the guise of their food delivery business. As the story unfolds, the series will take audiences through a world of criminal intrigue, suspense, and unexpected twists, as the cartel's operations grow more dangerous and complex.
The show features a powerhouse cast, including the legendary Shabana Azmi, Nimisha Sajayan, Shalini Pandey, Anjali Anand, and Sai Tamhankar. Adding depth to the ensemble are seasoned actors like Gajraj Rao, Lillete Dubey, Jisshu Sengupta, and more, each expected to deliver strong performances that will keep viewers hooked from start to finish. With such a dynamic and talented lineup, Dabba Cartel is poised to become one of the most talked-about series of the year.
Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, Dabba Cartel is directed by Hitesh Bhatia. The show was created by Farhan’s wife, Shibani Dandekar, alongside Vishnu Menon, Gaurav Kapur, and Akanksha Seda. With its release on Netflix India just around the corner, Dabba Cartel is gearing up to offer a thrilling, high-stakes drama that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
