Guess who turned 39 and threw a birthday bash with guns, gulab jamuns, and gangsters? Okay, maybe not the guns (this time), but yes — it was none other than our very own Guddu Bhaiya, Ali Fazal!
On October 15, Ali celebrated his birthday with the entire cast of his upcoming and much-hyped film, ‘Mirzapur: The Film’, and the party was anything but ordinary. Think of it as a Purvanchal-meets-Bollywood-style birthday blowout, full of warm hugs, wild laughs, and probably some silent threats to bring back Munna. (Just kidding… or are we?)
Taking to Instagram Stories, Ali shared fun moments from the celebration with his on-screen fam — including Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Abhishek Banerjee, and Jitendra Kumar. It was basically a Mirzapur multiverse of madness, but with cake instead of chaos.
With his signature wit, Ali captioned the celebration: Let’s just call it a birthday season from now on. Come October we feast and break bread with some people we love. Thank you to the many many worlds from where I receive love.. and to this mortal one where you all make it so sweet and amazing…and a special msg to my two girls- Love.” (Note: No, Ali doesn’t actually have two daughters — he’s clearly in poetic birthday mode.)
For fans eagerly waiting, ‘Mirzapur: The Film’ is set to release in 2026, reuniting the OG trio — Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu Sharma. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Puneet Krishna, the film will hit theatres first and then stream on Amazon Prime Video.
So yes, Guddu is back, and if this birthday bash is anything to go by, Mirzapur: The Film is going to be one wild ride — with blood, betrayal, and probably biryani.
