Selected as a finalist among the top 12 films at the prestigious Reply AI Film Festival in Venice, Italy, JINX stands out in a field of over 5,000 global submissions. The festival, renowned for celebrating innovative storytelling through AI technology, will feature Totla's film as the sole representative from India.
JINX delves into the poignant and untold story of 90-year-old Holocaust escapee Jinx Akerkar. The documentary underscores the fragility of life and the critical importance of trusting one’s intuition. It also serves as a heartfelt tribute to the lives lost during World War II and those who continue to suffer because of the war’s enduring impact.
In an impressive display of technological integration, Totla utilized AI to recreate war footage authentically, setting a new standard for the use of AI in documentary filmmaking. This approach highlights her innovative spirit and commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional cinema.
In addition to her film’s selection, Mansha Totla has been invited to walk the red carpet at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. She will join a host of Hollywood celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Jenna Ortega, among others, at the prestigious event.
