Ahead of the much-anticipated release of his historical action drama Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal has set the stage for another musical thrill with the tease of his next song, Tufaan. On Wednesday, the actor took to Instagram, sharing a captivating black-and-white photo with the legendary A.R. Rahman, who composed the track. The photo sparked a frenzy among fans, as Vicky captioned it: “A storm is coming! #TOOFAN #ChhaavaOnFeb14,” heightening the excitement for the upcoming release of this powerful song.
This teaser comes hot on the heels of the successful release of the film's first track, Jaane Tu, which was launched in Hyderabad last Friday. The song has already garnered a positive response, and Vicky was in attendance for the music launch event, where he was joined by Rashmika Mandanna, who despite recovering from a leg injury, made her presence felt in a wheelchair. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava also stars Akshaye Khanna and is set to tell the epic story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a fearless Maratha king portrayed by Vicky.
In a recent media interaction during promotions in Jaipur, Vicky spoke about the intense preparation required for his role in this historical drama. He revealed the physical and mental challenges of playing such a pivotal character: “A biopic needs a lot of preparation, not only for the actor but for the entire team,” Vicky said. “Working on a historical subject is really challenging because of the huge budget, and creating a different era on screen. We’ve tried to make it as realistic as possible.” Vicky’s dedication to his craft included rigorous action training, bodybuilding, and deep historical research to authentically represent the time period.
The movie, a period drama detailing the courageous reign of Sambhaji Maharaj from his coronation in 1681, is all set for a theatrical release on February 14, 2025. With Tufaan on the horizon and a stellar soundtrack, Chhaava promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience, showcasing Vicky Kaushal’s commitment to bringing this legendary historical figure to life.
