Universal Pictures has dropped the adrenaline-charged trailer for Nobody 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult-favorite 2021 action-thriller Nobody. Returning in full force is Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell—once again caught in a storm of bullets, blood, and black comedy. Set to hit theatres on August 15, 2025, the sequel promises even higher stakes, darker villains, and a wildly entertaining mix of family vacation chaos and criminal carnage.
Directed by Timo Tjahjanto, known for his hyper-stylized action in films like The Night Comes for Us, Nobody 2 picks up four years after Hutch’s brutal showdown with the Russian mob. Though he survived, he’s not free—he still owes $30 million and is working it off by taking down international criminals. But Hutch's double life is taking a toll. He and his wife Becca (played by Connie Nielsen) are emotionally distant and exhausted. Hoping to reconnect, they take their kids (Gage Munroe and Paisley Cadorath) on a nostalgic vacation to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark—a kitschy tourist trap tied to Hutch's childhood.
With RZA returning as Hutch’s deadly brother Harry, and Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as their trigger-happy father, the family reunion quickly turns from sun-soaked to blood-soaked. After a run-in with some local bullies, the Mansells land in the sights of John Ortiz as a crooked theme park tycoon and Colin Hanks as his morally bankrupt sheriff. But it’s Sharon Stone who steals the spotlight as the film’s central villain—a deranged, power-hungry crime boss who Hutch dubs “the most unhinged person I’ve ever met.”
Written by Nobody creator Derek Kolstad, along with Aaron Rabin, the film retains its bone-crunching action, dark humor, and anti-hero charm. The trailer showcases creative fight choreography, wild set pieces inside a decaying amusement park, and glimpses of Hutch’s signature controlled chaos. With returning cast members and new heavy-hitters like Sharon Stone and Colin Hanks, Nobody 2 looks to deliver a perfect summer blend of brutal violence and dysfunctional family bonding.
With the tagline “Same nobody. New blood.”, the film is already generating strong online buzz, further fueled by Odenkirk’s ongoing action-star transformation. Nobody 2 hits theatres worldwide August 15, 2025, promising a bloody good time for fans who like their action gritty, fast, and just a little bit deranged.
