FX and Hulu drops one final official trailer for Shōgun, created by writers Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo. A saga of war, passion, and power set in Feudal Japan. The series is set at the dawn of a century-defining civil war.
The series stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Cosmo Jarvis, Tadanobu Asano, Anna Sawai, Yûki Kedôin, Eushin Lee, Tommy Bastow, Hiroto Kanai, Emi Kamito, Hiromoto Ida, Kengo Hashimoto, Sen Mars, Toshi Toda, Mako Fujimoto.
Series Shōgun follows the collision of two ambitious men from different worlds and a mysterious female samurai: John Blackthorne, a risk-taking English sailor who ends up shipwrecked in Japan, a land whose unfamiliar culture will ultimately redefine him; Lord Toranaga, a shrewd, powerful daimyo, still at odds with his own dangerous, political rivals; and Lady Mariko, a woman with invaluable skills but dishonourable family ties, who must prove her value and allegiance.
The 10-episode mini-series is written by Maegan Houang, Emily Yoshida, Shannon Goss, Matt Lambert, Ronan Bennett, Caillin Puente, Nigel Williams. Helmed by Frederick Toye, Jonathan van Tulleken, Charlotte Brändström, Takeshi Fukunaga, Hiromi Kamata, Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour.
