Paramount Drops The Trailer For Savage House
Paramount has unveiled an official trailer for Savage House, a kooky and darkly satirical comedy from filmmaker Peter Glanz, who both wrote and directed the project. Set for release in cinemas on June 5, 2026.
The story unfolds in 18th-century England during a devastating pox outbreak and the turbulent Jacobite Uprising. At the center are Sir Chauncey Savage, played by Richard E. Grant, and his ambitious wife, Lady Savage, portrayed by Claire Foy. The couple’s relentless pursuit of status and prosperity drives a whirlwind of chaos, decadence, and bloodshed, turning their stately home into a stage for absurdity and dark comedy. “Duels erupt like sudden thunderstorms, alliances crumble over candlelit dinners, and the Savages’ stately home becomes a stage for absurdity and brutality alike,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
The ensemble cast features Bel Powley, Kila Lord Cassidy, Jack Farthing, Richard McCabe, Vicki Pepperdine, and Pip Torrens, bringing the decadent, chaotic world of the Savages to life with precision and flair.
Peter Glanz, known for directing The Longest Week and a series of acclaimed shorts, helms this feature while also producing alongside Mark Hopkins, Dylan Maranda, Oliver Roskill, and Phillip Thomas. After a limited release in Ireland earlier this year, the film has been generating buzz for its sharp wit, period detail, and irreverent take on class, power, and ambition.
With its blend of dark comedy, historical drama, and a wildly entertaining ensemble, Savage House promises to be a summer treat for the audiences craving something both clever and outrageous. Fans of British humor, period absurdity, and stellar performances from Grant and Foy will want to mark their calendars for June 5.
