Roadside Attractions drops the trailer for an adorable true story of a penguin and a fisherman, My Penguin Friend is directed by David Schurmann.
Starring Jean Reno, Adriana Barraza, Rocío Hernández, Nicolás Francella, Alexia Moyano, Thalma de Freitas, Pedro Caetano and Pedro Urizzi.
Inspired by the incredible true story of DinDim, the Penguin, this enchanting adventure is about a little lost penguin who - after being rescued from an oil spill - transforms the life and soul of the heartbroken fisherman (Jean Reno).
The heartbroken fisherman not only rescues the sea creature, which migrates hundreds of miles every year, but takes it under his wing – finding a sense of joy for the first time in years. The penguin and the fisherman become unlikely friends, so bonded that even the vast ocean cannot divide them.
The screenplay is written by Kristen Lazarian and Paulina Lagudi Ulrich. The film is slated for August 16th, 2024 release.
