Actress Chitrangda Singh, known for her powerful performances in intense dramas and thrillers, is stepping into entirely new territory — comedy — with the much-anticipated film Housefull 5. At the film’s star-studded trailer launch, Chitrangda opened up about the thrill, nerves, and gratitude she felt being part of one of Bollywood’s biggest comedy franchises.
“This is the first time I’m doing comedy,” she said with a smile. “It’s my first attempt, and to be part of something this huge is overwhelming. Housefull is a well-known, massive franchise, and Sajid Nadiadwala is one of the biggest producers in the industry. Then there’s the star cast — I’m sitting with stalwarts of comedy! It was intimidating.”
Clearly humbled yet excited, she added, “I was really nervous, but I just want to thank my director Tarun [Mansukhani], who cast me in this film and thought of me for the part. It has come through, and I’m truly looking forward to what’s ahead.”
