Netflix has unleashed the full official trailer for Monster: The Ed Gein Story, the third installment of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s true-crime horror anthology series, and it’s as chilling as you'd expect. Releasing on October 3, 2025, just in time for Halloween season, the new season dives into the real-life horror that inspired Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Silence of the Lambs.
Charlie Hunnam leads the terrifying tale as Ed Gein, the notorious 1950s Wisconsin killer whose quiet farm life masked unspeakable horrors. Mild-mannered on the outside, Gein was a grave robber, murderer, and the twisted craftsman behind a house decorated with body parts—a real-life nightmare that redefined American horror.
The trailer reveals a haunting, snow-covered Midwest town filled with suspicion and dread. With a tone that mixes procedural tension and psychological horror, we watch Gein’s descent into madness, spurred by isolation, grief, and a deeply disturbed relationship with his mother.
