Jacqueline Fernandez, known for her roles in Bollywood and her advocacy for a healthy lifestyle, recently shared insights into her journey towards embracing veganism during a panel discussion at the Vegan India Conference.
Jacqueline Fernandez was interacting with the media during a panel discussion of Vegan India Conference in Mumbai.
Reflecting on her transformation from a traditional fitness regime focused on aesthetics to a more holistic approach, Jacqueline emphasized the profound impact that transitioning to a meatless and eventually vegan diet has had on her life. She said, “I have been an actor for 15-16 years now, so I used to follow a very different fitness regime before, I think it was more about aesthetics, when I used to work out, I used to choose my diet, it was more about whether this make me look better. It was all about whether it would make me look better, make me look thinner, will it make me look more beautiful, it was always about aesthetics.”
“Now I approach my fitness regime, it is more about their better balance in my life now, do I have mental clarity, and that came along when I decided to go meatless three years ago. I would have to say the journey was not easy, it was very easy for me to transition into meatless, but transitioning into vegan was a little more challenging. It is not impossible, it definitely happens, and the biggest achievement of going vegan is that it gave me a lot of mental clarity. It gave me a lot of peace, and it is not about aesthetics anymore, it is more holistic, I have a more holistic approach to my lifestyle” added Jacqueline.
