The wait for the next chapter in one of Bollywood’s most successful thriller franchises is finally over. The makers of Drishyam 3 have officially announced the film’s release date, confirming that Ajay Devgn’s much-loved character Vijay Salgaonkar will return to the big screen on October 2, 2026. The announcement has instantly sparked excitement among fans who have closely followed the suspense-filled journey of the Salgaonkar family.
Ajay Devgn reprises his iconic role as Vijay, a character that has become synonymous with sharp intellect, emotional depth, and quiet resilience. Over the years, the Drishyam films have carved a special place in Hindi cinema, blending family drama with gripping crime and investigation. October 2 holds particular importance for the franchise and its followers, often referred to as “Drishyam Day” due to its recurring relevance in the storyline.
To mark the announcement, the makers unveiled a promo on social media with the line, “Aakhri hissa baaki hai,” hinting that the third installment will bring the story closer to its conclusion. Filming for Drishyam 3 is currently underway and is taking place across multiple cities, with the team reportedly working on a larger canvas than before to enhance the film’s intensity and scale.
Joining Ajay Devgn once again are Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor, all of whom return to their pivotal roles, maintaining continuity with the earlier films.
