Zayn Ibad Khan, currently gaining acclaim for his role in the new show "Gunaah," has highlighted the growing opportunity for audiences to engage with global content. "Gunaah" is an adaptation of the Turkish series "Ezel," and Khan is enthusiastic about its reception in India.
 
While promoting "Gunaah," Khan expressed his excitement about the show, noting that few adaptations like this are produced. "This is an adaptation of a Turkish show, and as we all know, shows from Turkey, Pakistan, and K-pop are very popular in India. The show, 'Ezel,' which we adapted for our Hindi audience. Our fifth episode just aired, and the kind of love and appreciation we’re getting without much of promotion is enormous, and I feel super blessed,” he said.
 
Khan emphasized the accessibility of international content today, stating, “People now have an opportunity to watch content from all around the world, and people love Turkish shows. We just took one show, adapted it in Hindi with a different soul, and we have presented it to the audience.”
 
"Gunaah" features a compelling storyline where Abhimanyu, played by Zayn Ibad Khan, faces a severe betrayal from Tara, portrayed by Surbhi Jyoti. Abhimanyu's quest for revenge leads him to undergo a face transplant, with the new identity portrayed by Gashmeer Mahajani.
 
The series, managed by showrunner Anirudh Pathak, directed by Anil Senior, and written by Sanjay Kumar, Sanjay Masoom, and Shailesh Pratap Singh, is available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
