Controversy erupted when Telugu Superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna was seen pushing away actor Anjali on stage during an promotional event of her upcoming film ‘Gangs of Godavari’.
Social media trolls went into frenzy calling the Telugu superstar names, and demanding his boycott or an apology. But now the actress Anjali has shared a post, adding some much needed exposure in this whole debacle.
Anjali took to his social media profile and posted, “I want to thank Balakrishna Garu for gracing the Gangs of Godavari pre-release event with his presence. I would like to express that Balakrishna garu and I have always maintained mutual respect for each other and We share a great friendship from a long time. Apparently, it was just fun and games between two co-stars, which someone took to unwanted heights and tried to smear the name of senior actor.
Gangs of Godavari is an action drama film written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya. It is being produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya; co-produced by Venkat Upputuri and Gopichand Innamuri, under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
The film stars Vishwak Sen, Anjali, Neha Shetty, Nassar, and P. Sai Kumar. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 31 May 2024.
